Whether your preference is big game or small game, our central Maine location offers an abundance of wildlife.

Our local wildlife management districts have some of the highest deer densities per square mile in the State. This area has classic edge effect deer cover. From open fields and over-grown farmland, to paper company big woods; we have it all! Bear and moose populations are high. Moose hunting is by permit only.

Visit us in the fall and hunt for grouse and woodcock. Local covers with apple trees, alder runs, and young poplar hold many birds. Fall in Maine - crisp days, the leaves ablaze in color, and the smells of gun oil and wood smoke - what a great time of year!

Our upland season lasts all winter. Local fir and spruce thickets abound with hare. Lace up your snowshoes and join your beagles in the chase! Cedar Mill Farm has kennel facilities for your dogs at no extra charge.

The majority of our hunting guests have been staying at Cedar Mill Farm & Cabins for a number years and do not require the use of a guide, however, if you would like to utilize the services of a Registered Maine Guide we can usually arrange this given adequate advanced notice.
